about me

Welcome to Lil' Sprinkles of Joy: a blog about all the lil' sprinkles in my life that keep me busy and blessed on a daily basis.  I'm Ila, a former occupational therapist turned full time mom to 3 active little boys who make each day a blessing to discover. I've been married to my wonderful husband Mike for almost 9 years now and each year continues to be an amazing adventure.

I started this blog as my "mommy outlet" and a place to share, create, laugh and have some fun. I'm no self proclaimed DIY expert nor am I the next Martha Stewart or Rachel Ray. I just love sharing the ideas and adventures I've discovered on my own and through the world of blogging and my favorite friend, Pinterest.  Whether it is crafty up my next DIY project at home, trying to keep our lives somewhat organized among the chaos, whipping up something scrumptious, or planning our next adventure, I hope you will sit back, enjoy and share the lil' sprinkles of joy in each day!

A few fun sprinkles about me!

I am a native WV girl and a proud Mountaineer! When it comes time for football season, you will definitely hear me cheering for the gold & blue.

My husband and I have moved 6 times in the the last 7 years and have called New York, Arizona, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and England our home!

I'm the 5th person named Ila in my family. I'm proud to share my name with my aunt, two great-aunts and my great-grandmother.

I am a proud alumnae of Alpha Delta Pi and am thankful to have been a part of this amazing sisterhood for over 16 years now.

My two all time favorite movies are Sound of Music and Steel Magnolias

I'm a lover of all things chocolate...make it dark chocolate and it's an added bonus!

I love Disney: yes, I admit it! There's something magical about seeing your children experience the joy of the Magic Kingdom!

I will not miss an episode of Grey's Anatomy and refuse to go to bed until I've watched the latest episode on a Thursday night.

I'm an avid sports fan; from little league on up, it's a passion I love! Maybe being raised in a family with a coach as a father and an older brother has a little something to do with that!
